My co-workers were giving me grief for not blogging about my caucus experience, so here's what I posted on Daily Kos:
Freeway Precinct for me. We had 40 people turn out, which was WAY up from the 7 that showed up in '04. Our precinct went 26 - 14 for Obama and our delegates got allocated 5 - 3. Nobody really wanted the job, so I not only got elected one of the delegates, but also PCO. Yay for me. :o)
The room was basically busting at the seams and they had to open up other rooms in order to fit everyone in. There was only one woman in charge of the whole thing, so it was a little frazzled.
There was one mix-up in my precinct. Right about when we had finished electing the delgates and most people left, a gay couple came in, very upset because someone had misdirected them to another caucus site after they had showed up at the correct location. They were Clinton voters and were understandably quite upset that they were too late through no fault of their own. We tallied the numbers, just in case to make sure that it wouldn't change the delegate count, but in the end it wouldn't have changed the delegates.
